Getting Started With Android Betting

If you are reading this page, there is a good chance that you are interested in being able to gamble through your Android device. Whether you are playing casino games, a round of poker, or placing a bet on your favorite football team, betting through your mobile device can be a fun and exciting experience.

Although betting through your Android smartphone or tablet is not a difficult process, getting your device set up for the first time can be a bit challenging. But fear not, we at Android Betting Sites are here to help. We have compiled this step by step guide to make sure that you are able to quickly and efficiently get your device set for mobile betting. By the end of this tutorial you should be able to install and log into any Android compatible betting app, deposit funds, and place your desired type of wager (casino, poker, sportsbet). If you still have questions at the end, consult our FAQ page.

Ok, enough of the boring stuff… let’s get set to wager on our Android!

Step 1: Find an Android compatible online casino, poker, or sportsbetting website.

The first thing we will need to do when gambling with our Android device is to actually decide where we are going to play.

If you reside in an area where internet betting is legal and regulated, you should not have a problem finding a place to play. In the UK for example, there are dozens of great betting sites available for punters, many of whom offer great Android apps or mobile websites.

At Android Betting Sites we recommend the following sites based on their assigned categories:

Royal Vegas
100% up to $1200

888 Poker
100% up to $400
Red Kings
100% up to $2000
100% up to $600

Free $25 Bet

Step 2: Register

The next thing that we need to do is register an account with the casino that you decide you want to play with. Please note that you are not restricted to one casino, sportsbook, or poker room on your device; please play at as many as you want to! We recommend that you visit the betting spot’s website through a PC or mobile web browser to see what is offered for action before making a decision and registering for an account.

When registering for an account, make sure that you take note of the various bonuses or mobile offers available on the firm’s website. Bonuses vary by time and date, but many sites offer incentives for players who use a mobile device. These can range from percentage bonuses to free bets. Just make sure that you are doing your homework before selecting your bonus. Some sites require a playthrough amount on any bonuses, meaning that a $100 bonus would have to be wagered multiple times before it can be withdrawn.

If you are certain that you will be playing at the Android version of the site you registered at, you may wish to make a deposit at this time.

After your account has been registered and verified, you will be ready for our next step.

Step 3: Set your Android to allow side-loading

As a rule, Google does not allow for any real money gambling apps to be placed in its Play Store. While this causes somewhat of an inconvenience for gamblers, it does not mean that you cannot load a gambling app onto your device. In this step we will change a setting in your Android that will allow for the casino’s app to be downloaded from a source outside of the Play Store.

To allow your device to side-load apps follow the following steps:

 Go to the settings menu in your device.
 Click the security button (you may have to scroll down to find this).
 Find the button that says “Unknown Sources: Allow installation of apps from unknown sources”.
 Click it.
 You will be presented with a warning about how outside sources can harm your device. While this may be technically true, there is no chance that an online betting site will damage your phone. Click the OK button.
 You are all set!

Your phone now has the ability to install apps from outside of Google’s Play Store. This will allow us to get our hands on many more apps that are not currently offered in the Play Store.

Step 4: Download and install the betting site’s app

Now that your phone is primed and ready for your betting site app, we need to actually download the thing. Go to the casino’s website and find the mobile section. Many sites will either allow you to download the app on your PC and transfer it over, or present you with a QR code option (which looks like a weird barcode).

If you have a barcode reader and find one of these marks on the website, you can open your barcode scanner and point your Android’s camera at the code. The phone will then scan the code and give you the option to open the link. Do so and you will be given the opportunity to download the app to your device.

If you have a PC and download the app, you can save it to your desktop, connect your Android to your computer via USB cable, and transfer the app to a folder in the device’s hard drive. You will then want to disconnect from the computer, navigate to the folder on your phone, and click the app. Your device will then guide you through installation, which should seem familiar if you have downloaded anything from the Play Store.

Step 5: Open the app and log in

Okay, so here is where we stand: We have found a spot to wager at, registered an account, and downloaded and installed the site’s app on our Android device.

It is now time to get down to the serious business of using this app that we have gone through the work to obtain.

You will want to find the app in your device and open it. After it loads, you will be prompted to log into your account. This information is the same that you registered with; there is no mobile specific information.

After logging in, make sure that your balance is accurate. If you deposited money before installing the app, it should show that balance within the app. If the balance is not there, contact the site’s support team, who will iron out the details for you and get everything set straight.

If you have not deposited, you will want to do so now. You cannot play if you do not pay, so get on it!

While a lot of apps support depositing through your Android, some do not. If that is the case you will want to log into your account on a PC and put money in that way. Once again, customer support should be there to help you with any issues.

Step 6: Enjoy yourself!

We have now gone through all the (not-so) hard work of getting your Android device set up to gamble remotely, so now what do we do? We gamble!

Make sure to enjoy yourself while wagering on your Android. Once again, there are many great places to bet with excellent Android compatibility. You would be wise to to check out these different sites in order to have the best possible time.
